The film begins with the two boys working in a hay field, each dressed in a linen shirt and linen trousers, whose ample cut allows the viewer to measure the intensity of each person's desire. They walk together in the courtyard of a house full of chickens, where Angel brings a very large saucer that he fills with water, allowing Jean-Paul to start washing.
