Kasumi gets sick, and Akane discovers her late mother's recipes and tries to cook for the family. Ranma's mother, Nodoka, arrives to help and teaches both Akane and a disguised Ranma (Ranko) how to cook. A cooking competition between Akane and Ranma ensues.
